More about the skiing in Copper Mountain

  • So what's it like?

Pre-book your lift pass & save up to 50% against in resort pricing

Copper is one of Colorado’s gems, popular with couples and families after superb skiing and good value accommodation close to the slopes. The village offers a good range of restaurants and a couple of bars that liven up at the weekend. The mountain is superb, almost split up into ability levels – green and blue runs can be found across the front face, where as the more advanced area is on the far left. For those who came for Colorado’s famous powder, then the back bowls are phenomenal – some days there is even a free caterpillar truck to take you to areas the lifts don’t access!

    Ski information

    Beginners

The Union Creek area is an ideal area for those learning to ski with its gently pitched, wide runs. After mastering the basic turns, take the lift up to the top, enjoy the amazing views of before skiing the 4.5 mile Green run back to the village.

    Intermediates

The abundance of cruising blue runs will keep any intermediate skier happy. The efficient lift system with its 'Beeline Advantage' included in the lift pass gives priority in any queue and allows you to start 15 minutes before the official opening in the mornings.

    Advanced

The hardest runs are at the top and on the East side. The back side of the mountain has great bowl skiing at Copper bowl and Spalding Bowl.
Steep pitches, cornices and chutes define Copper's bowls as well as incredible powder which can be found throughout the day.
