So what's it like?
A recently expanded resort in the Pyrenees of Aragon
Covering four valleys and now the largest ski resort in Spain, Formigal combines great skiing for all levels and excellent childcare facilities along with renowned Spanish hospitality. The ski area is easily accessible by a 5 minute bus ride and is a great resort for all levels with a good mixture of blue, red and freeride areas which are itinerary routes. You can now take advantage of our increased flying programme. Choose your local departure airport from Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester or Bristol!
Ski information
Beginners
Make you way to the Sextas or Anayet for lessons and nice gentle slopes near the bases. Lessons with the excellent Spanish Ski School will soon get you moving and ready for more.
Intermediates
Formigal is an intermediates' paradise you you can travel from one valley to another and try different runs. Look out for runs like Sarrios and Lanuza in the Izas zone where you will find lovely snow and pistes to challenge yourself.
Advanced
Try some of the free ride areas away from the pistes which lead you down to the ski bus for some real off piste challenge. Have a go with the ski-ratrak in Portalet which will take you to runs like Cueva and Infierno!
Nightlife
Very lively. For drinks try The Saloon or Bar La Luna. La Chocolatería serves delicious cakes and pancakes with tea and coffee. Later in the evening head for La Luna which transforms in to a lively night-time bar or La Cueva. Try El Soltano or Abstracken where there is usually some dancing.

Eating out
There are very reasonable restaurants on the mountain for lunch and at good prices. For drinks and tapas try La Sidrería or try a lovely restaurant like Norheim.
Families
Formigal is a fantastic choice for families with the excellent childcare facilities. There is a non-skiing crèche in Formigal, open daily taking children from 4 months.
