So what's it like?
A friendly, traditional Italian resort with a surprising ski area
This typically Italian market town lies in a sunny valley right on the French border. Bardonecchia's skiing is challenging and enjoyable with 100km of piste, divided into two areas conveniently linked by a free shuttle service. Thanks to the fact that Bardonecchia hosted several events at the 2006 Olympics the resort now has a snow park and Olympic half pipe. Minimal lift queues add to the resort's appeal. The informal aprés ski is in the town centre where you will find a selection of friendly bars and cosy restaurants in which to unwind. Bardonecchia is also a great destination for non-skiers having a train station and being close to the elegant city of Turin.
