So what's it like?
A great modern resort with an enormous 650km of piste and fantastic snow
Avoriaz is a gateway to the famous Portes du Soleil ski circuit - the largest linked ski area in the world with an enormous 650kms of high altitude slopes in France and Switzerland! It is a striking purpose built resort with many of the buildings designed to blend in to the mountain side when viewed from a distance. The resort is traffic-free and you can ski from or close to all accommodation. New for winter 2012/13 Avoriaz is now home to the "Aquariaz" centre, a unique complex with natural tropical vegetation and living trees in an aquatic paradise which provides a fun waterpark for all.
First time skiers are well looked after in the Portes du Soleil area. Avoriaz has perfect nursery slopes next to the resort. Morzine has gentle nursery slopes at Le Pleney and our First Time package is ideal for complete beginners.
The Portes du Soleil is a fantastic area for intermediates. The skiing starts on your doorstep and for those who want to venture further, there is the entire Portes du Soleil circuit, with 650kms of runs. Social ski with your Crystal rep to make the most of your stay.
The Portes du Soleil area has some of the most challenging skiing in France, with over 20 black runs, some of the biggest moguls in the world on the 'Wall' at Avoriaz, endless off-piste possibilities and the hair-raising World Cup Downhill from the top of Les Hauts Forts.
A lively resort with lots to do. Try: the Tavaillon, 'The Place', 'La Cabane' and Globetrotters
· Sports Centre with sauna & solarium · Parapenting · Sleigh rides (Avoriaz) · Bowling alley · Ice skating · Helicopter rides · Snow shoe walking · For Winter 12/13 a new Aquapark (designed by Center Parcs) will be built in resort with several swimming pools, a water play house and an aquatic halfpipe
