So what's it like?
A great modern resort with an enormous 650km of piste and fantastic snow
Avoriaz is a gateway to the famous Portes du Soleil ski circuit - the largest linked ski area in the world with an enormous 650kms of high altitude slopes in France and Switzerland! It is a striking purpose built resort with many of the buildings designed to blend in to the mountain side when viewed from a distance. The resort is traffic-free and you can ski from or close to all accommodation. New for winter 2012/13 Avoriaz is now home to the "Aquariaz" centre, a unique complex with natural tropical vegetation and living trees in an aquatic paradise which provides a fun waterpark for all.
