So what's it like?
A charming town with an excellent snow record & good position in the Schneewinkel ski area
St. Johann is part of the extensive Schneewinkel ski area with over 170kms of piste to explore across a number of ski areas on one lift pass. At the foot of the towering Kitzbüheler Horn, it is a vibrant town, whilst maintaining all the charm of a traditional village, and it offers some lively après ski. St. Johann is linked by a regular, free ski bus to the resorts of Waidring and Fieberbrunn, so with the huge choice of slopes available these resorts are ideal for groups or families with mixed ability skiers or boarders.
Ski information
Beginners
Novices will benefit from a vast range of wide-open, well-maintained nursery areas and long blue runs. The excellent ski school will ease you through the first few days and have you tackling those slopes in no time.
Intermediates
St. Johann offers many red and blue runs varying from open pistes to wide wooded glades. However the Schneewinkl area pass also covers several nearby areas (linked by free ski bus) including the Steinplatte, Fieberbrunn and St. Jakob, unfurling a variety of runs and plenty of scope for the intermediate, plus an excellent snow record.
Advanced
Powderhounds will enjoy the varied off-piste diversions offered by the 'Schneewinkel' area pass, with excellent snow records and often plenty of powder opportunities, particularly on the Steinplatte and Fieberbrunn areas.

Schneewinkel area
Ski Escort Service
St. Johann is part of the 'Schneewinkel' area - a total of 125km of piste! With your area lift pass you can ski any of the resorts within the area, accessing each resort by FREE ski bus. The main areas are: St. Johann, Steinplatte/Waidring, Fieberbrunn and Kirchdorf. A day out in Waidring should not be missed, with the opportunity to ski over the boarder into Bavaria (Germany) and ski 2 countries in one day! Fieberbrunn has an excellent snow record with skiing above 2000m and is a great day out for intermediate skiers. There is also a good snowpark for boarders. Ask your Crystal rep for more information on any of the resorts.

St. Johann is a great family resort with fantastic childrens' facilities: Ski schools: Ski School St. Johann has an excellent team of instructors, for all levels and ages. Children from 4 years old can learn to ski with the Bobo Clubs, and older children (11-15 years incl.) can further develop their skiing skills with the 'Junior Talent School' - designed to develop race skills. Perhaps your child will become the next Finlay Mickel or Chemmy Alcott!
