More about the skiing in Niederau

  • So what's it like?

With the new connection to Alpbach - now creating the fantastic Ski Juwel area with 145km of piste - perfect for families with an excellent ski school, and superb for intermediates

The ski areas of Niederau and Alpbach were recently joined to create the Ski Juwel area. A lift from Inneralpbach up to the Schatzberg allows skiing across this whole area. Perfect for beginners, and with 145km of runs to explore - this is a superb area for intermediates wanting to progress. A single lift pass covers the whole area - including all the ski buses.

The friendly resort of Niederau lies in the picturesque Wildschönau valley. This pretty resort is an excellent choice for families and we are pleased to offer a Pepi Penguin Club, based in the Hotel Harfenwirt.

    Ski information

    Beginners

Niederau is one of the top resorts for learning to ski, with a high standard of instruction and a wide variety of beginner runs just on the edge of the village.

    Intermediates

There are plenty of challenging runs for the intermediate skier with long interesting pistes and pretty tree-lined skiing. Excellent for second/third timers who want to explore further afield with some excellent red runs at Auffach, connected by the free ski bus.

    Advanced

Better suited to beginner and intermediate skiers Niederau can still offer the advanced skier some exciting off-piste skiing, and there are 4 decent black runs in the valley.
