So what's it like?
Family-friendly skiing and a great central location in the Schneewinkel ski area
The charming village of Kirchdorf is the perfect place to try skiing or snowboarding for the first time. With fantastic value Learn To Ski or Board options, you receive equipment, tuition and a beginner lift pass. Intermediate skiers and boarders can choose the Improver option which includes a 2 day local and a 4 day Schneewinkel pass, so you can explore the other ski areas. Kirchdorf is loacted in the centre of the Schneewinkel area - making access to the other areas which form the 170km of piste very easy. Off the slopes there is plenty on offer too, including a swimming pool, horse-drawn sleigh rides and tobogganing making this a great choice for the whole family.

Beginners
Kirchdorf has an excellent ski school and family-friendly skiing making it a great destination if it's your first time on skis. The uncrowded, gentle nursery slopes are perfect for learning on and with the help of the patient instructors you can soon progress to the larger ski areas of St. Johann and Waidring.
Intermediates
The excellent central location of Kirchdorf makes it easy to explore the larger Schneewinkel area. A free ski bus links you to interesting and varied terrain in the resorts of St. Johann, Waidring/Steinplatte and Fieberbrunn - 170km in total.
Advanced
Covered on your Schneewinkel area pass is over 170km of piste - head for the Waidring/Steinplatte and Fieberbrunn areas for fantastic powder opportunities and a selection of steeper pistes in Fieberbrunn. Superb snowparks are in each of these resorts too - great for practising jumps and tricks. These areas are all accessed by free ski bus - and Kirchdorf is in the perfect base from which to explore them all.
