So what's it like?
An idyllic resort with tree-lined pistes and charming chalets
The Alpbach and Niederau ski areas have been recently joined to create the Ski Jewel area. Linking the Inneralpbach and Auffach areas has created a combined ski area of 145km. Alpbach is superb for learning to ski and with this expansion now has plenty of scope for progressing intermediates as well as more advanced skiers.
This area is all under one lift pass, with all ski buses included also.
Alpbach is a picturesque village amidst stunning scenery renowned as a Austrian winter wonderland. Enjoy the relaxed Après ski in Alpbach's charming village centre taking in the views of the most attractive mountains in the Alps.Ski information
Beginners
Beginners use the excellent wide nursery slope in the village or are taken to the 'Wiedersbergerhorn'
(5 minute bus ride away) where the gondola takes you up to further nursery slopes at the 'Horn Boden'.Intermediates
This area is an excellent choice for intermediates. The main skiing access is via the Wiedersbergerhorn gondola. You can enjoy long, often tree lined, red runs across the whole area, offering some beautiful views.
Advanced
The off-piste run down to Hygna (only advisable with a guide) will excite the advanced skier and there are also some black runs to be found on the Wiedersbergerhorn.
